Eduardo António da Silva Figueiredo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (2017), a Master’s degree in Legal and Political Sciences with a specialization in Constitutional Law (2019), and a Ph.D. in Public Law (2025), all from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (FDUC).
He served as a Teaching Assistant (2017–2019), Guest Lecturer (2019–2025), and is currently an Assistant Professor (Guest) in the Department of Legal and Political Sciences at FDUC, teaching in the areas of Constitutional Law, Public International Law, and European Union Law.
He completed the Postgraduate Course in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Law and the Postgraduate Course in Medical Law, both offered by the Centre for Biomedical Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (CDB/FDUC). He also completed the XXIII Postgraduate Course in Human Rights at Ius Gentium Conimbrigae – Human Rights Centre of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (CDH/FDUC).
He is a Full Researcher at the Institute for Legal Research (IJ/FDUC), within the scientific area Democracy and Vulnerabilities; an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Biomedical Law (CDB/FDUC); and an Associate Researcher at Ius Gentium Conimbrigae – CDH/FDUC.
Between February and October 2024, he served as Deputy to the Office of the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Portugal.
He is the author of several articles and monographs in the fields of philosophy and general theory of human and fundamental rights, corruption and human rights, law of nanobiotechnology, health law, and law of equality and non-discrimination.
